"Bikini audition from Hell" was for Bon & Viv Super Bowl ad
Anheuser-Busch acknowledges that the sexist audition described in a first-person December Vice essay titled “My Bikini Audition From Hell Shows How Little Hollywood Has Changed" was for its seltzer brand. The commercial that ended up running, featuring mythical mermaid founders pitching the brand to sharks under water, didn't show women wearing bikinis. As a result of the essay, the production company behind the ad said it would no longer work for the casting firm responsible for the audition.
