Disney announces a Rogue One: A Star Wars Story prequel series starring Diego Luna
Luna will reprise his role as rebel spy Cassian Andor on the live-action spinoff series that is being developed for Disney's upcoming streaming service, Disney+. The show will unfold in the early years of the Rebellion and is described as a “rousing spy thriller," according to Variety. It will become the second Disney live-action Star Wars TV series, joining Jon Favreau's The Manalorian on Disney's streaming service. “Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me,” says Luna. “I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply.”
