Kate Winslet returning to HBO for limited series Mare of Easttown
The Oscar-winning actress will executive produce and star in Mare of Easttown, her first major TV role since her Emmy-winning performance on the 2011 five-part HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce. On Mare of Easttown, created by Brad Ingelsby, "Winslet will play a small-town Pennsylvania detective who investigates a local murder at a time when her own life is crumbling around her," according to Deadline. This is the latest A-list casting for an HBO limited series following the smash success of Big Little Lies.
