Lisa Edelstein reuniting with House creator on The Good Doctor
Edelstein, coming off Bravo's Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, has joined the ABC medical drama in a recurring role that kicks off with the Season 2 premiere. The casting reunites her with House creator David Shore, who also created The Good Doctor and serves as its showrunner. Edelstein played House fan favorite Dr. Cuddy for seven seasons on the Fox medical drama. According to Deadline, Edelstein will play "Dr. Blaize, an expert oncologist who has returned to the hospital after a brief suspension, at the request of Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff), to help treat his cancer. Dr. Blaize is quite comfortable going toe to toe with Glassman and isn’t afraid to have a little fun while letting him know she calls the shots."
