NBC orders songwriter reality TV competition Songland
Source: The Hollywood Reporter
The Voice's Adam Levine joins OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder and Eurythmics co-founder Dave Stewart as executive producers on Songland, which will give songwriters a chance to have their songs recorded by top artists. Each episode will feature five songwriters performing original tracks for a panel of music producers and a different "major" recording artist. The artist will pick three songwriters and pair them with producers to make their songs ready for the recording studio. Winners will have their songs recorded as the artist's next single.
