On their New Girl podcast Welcome to Our Show, Zooey Deschanel, Hannah Simone and Lamorne Morris recalled how the Fox comedy tried to get the action star to play Remy the Landlord. According to a text from writer Josh Malmulth, Willis' "people said he 'wanted to do the show,' and we waited and waited and never heard anything. I'm sure no one ever told him about it."
