TV Academy sets the minimum TV movie length to 75 minutes to discourage anthology series
TV series have won the Emmy award for Outstanding Primetime TV Movie for the past three years: Sherlock's "Abominable Bride" and Black Mirror's "San Junipero" and "USS Callister." Of the three, only "San Junipero" would be unaffected by the new guidelines.
