Toni Collette to star in Unbelievable Netflix limited series with Merritt Wever and Kaitlin Dever
The eight-episode Unbelievable is from Erin Brockovich and Party of Five writer Susannah Grant. It's based on the Pulitzer-winning The Marshall Project and ProPublica article "An Unbelievable Story of Rape." According to Deadline, Unbelievable "tells the true story of Marie, a teenager who was charged with lying about having been raped, and the two female detectives who followed a twisting path to arrive at the truth. Collette and Wever will play detectives whose lives become intertwined in their mutual pursuit of a possible serial rapist. Dever’s character was not revealed." Pulitzer-winning author Michael Chabon and his wife, author Ayalet Waldman, will also serve as writers.
