Jon Stewart slams TV news coverage of the Trump trial
"The difference between in court and out of court is that in court, someone can say, ‘Prove it,’ and the problem is that most of the time in this country, our political leaders are not in court, they are here on TV, where the news media has decided that there’s really no such thing as reality," Stewart said on Monday's The Daily Show as the screen displayed the logos of Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, Newsmax, ABC News and CBS News. Stewart then showed a series of clips of personalities on the cable news networks proclaiming that Americans are now “living in two different realities.” “No, you’re thinking of the multiverse,” Stewart said. “We are all living in one reality, and it can be the news media’s job to litigate the parameters of said reality." Wendell Pierce: Starring in two TV shows wasn't enough for a racist white landlord, who rejected my rental application in Harlem
"For those of you who don’t understand my righteous anger; I’m on 2 TV series, ELSBETH and RAISING KANAN," Pierce tweeted Monday night. "I’m filming SUPERMAN. Two years ago, I finished the fourth season of JACK RYAN. Last year I finished a run on Broadway in DEATH OF A SALESMAN. Even with my proof of employment, bank statements and real estate holdings, a white apartment owner DENIED my application to rent the apartment…..in Harlem, of all places. Racism and bigots are real. There are those who will do anything to destroy life’s journey for Black folks. When you deny our personal experiences, you are as vile and despicable." Eric Kripke admits he was wrong about the number of seasons for both Supernatural and The Boys
In 2020, Kripke said he expected The Boys to run "five seasons total." Now that The Boys has been renewed for Season 5, Kripke tells Inverse: “I have learned since then to not try to call the seasons as the person who, and this is without hyperbole, is literally the most wrong in entertainment history of how many seasons their show should go. Someone pointed that out to me and I was like, ‘You’re right. That’s ridiculous. I need to keep my mouth shut.’ And so I will… No one was more wrong in all of human history about how many seasons their show was going to go than this guy. So I am not going to make that same mistake twice. Guinness World Record of who is the dumbest about how long their show should go, there would literally be a picture of me.”
