Everybody Still Hates Chris bringing back Chris Rock, Terry Crews and Tichina Arnold
Comedy Central's animated take on Rock's autobiographical 2006-2009 The CW comedy Everybody Hates Chris has set its main voice cast. Rock will return as narrator as the adult Chris. Crews and Arnold will reprise their roles as Chris' parents Julius and Rochelle. New cast members include Tim Johnson Jr. as Chris, Ozioma Akagha as Chris' feisty baby sister Tonya, Terrence Little Gardenhigh as golden child Drew and Gunnar Sizemore as Chris' only friend at school. “I’m very excited to introduce the world to another funny side of my childhood,” Rock said in a statement. On the original Everybody Hates Chris, Tyler James Williams played young Chris, while Imani Hakim played Tonya, Tequan Richmond portrayed Drew and Vincent Martella played Greg.
House of the Dragon's Season 2 premiere drops 22%
About 7.8 million watched the Game of Thrones prequel's return on Sunday night across all platforms, a drop from the 10 million who watched the Season 1 premiere in August 2022. Season 1 averaged 9 million to 9.5 million on Sunday nights for most episodes. "Still, the 7.8 million viewers for House of the Dragon‘s first night positions the show for another huge season," says The Hollywood Reporter's Rick Porter. "In comparison, True Detective: Night Country averaged about 13 million viewers per episode for its entire season, including multiple weeks of streaming and other delayed viewing. Season two of The White Lotus came in at 10.1 million viewers, and the final season of Succession averaged 8.7 million — only 900,000 more than what HotD amassed on one night."

The Wrap's Drew Taylor delves into the costly A24 project that recently resulted in showrunners Bryan Fuller and Jim Danger Gray's firing. “Crystal Lake was plagued by inexperienced production executives making questionable decisions, problems with the show’s writing staff and conflicts between showrunners and executives," reports Taylor, who adds: "A24 is still committed to making the show, although it’s unclear if the studio will use the original Fuller scripts and outlines or start from scratch with new creative leadership."

The streamer says the initial permanent Netflix House venues will open in “two of the most popular shopping centers in America" in 2025, in Dallas, Texas, and King of Prussia, Pennsylvania outside Philadelphia.
