Peacock lands Paul Giamatti-led Hostel series
Hostel mastermind Eli Roth is writing, directing and executive producing the horror series based on his 2006-2011 horror film series. The Hostel series was first revealed in June 2024, but details are being kept under wraps. "In the Hostel franchise, innocent tourists are kidnapped by a mysterious group known as the Elite Hunting Club operating out of Eastern Europe, with the group’s rich clientele paying to torture and murder the tourists," per Variety, which adds: "Collectively, the first two films in the franchise grossed nearly $120 million globally despite costing just $4.8 million and $10.2 million respectively to produce."

Stewart then mocked Leno's fall down a hill while in Pittsburgh last year by saying in his Leno voice "‘I’m just gonna go throw myself down a hill and see if I can get a concussion.’”

Medical records reveal Hogan, who died last Thursday at age 71, died of acute myocardial infarction, otherwise known as a heart attack. The report also revealed Hogan had a history of atrial fibrillation as well as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), a form of cancer of the blood and bone marrow that affects the group of white blood cells called lymphocytes.

"I was familiar with how to do some of this stuff," says showrunner Henry Alonso Myers. "In production, we'd have long conversations with our director in mind, specifically about how to handle puppets.... We had to have a lot of conversations about making puppets. We had to have a lot of conversations about how to handle our crew, because we also have to have a whole crew of puppeteers. It's just like doing a very different type of episode, and it requires a lot of time and care to do it." Myers says he consulted with Jeffrey Bell, who produced Angels' all-puppet episode.
