Regé-Jean Page is set to return to TV in Apple TV+'s Funny You Should Ask
Page, who pursued a movie career after breaking out on Bridgerton in 2020, will produce and is set to star in Apple TV+'s adaptation of Elissa Sussman’s bestselling novel Funny You Should Ask. Outer Banks and Heels veteran Rachel Alter is set to write the adaptation. "Published in 2022, Funny You Should Ask is a love story that centers on a restless young journalist with big dreams who interviews a Hollywood heartthrob – and then reunites with him ten years later to discover exactly how he feels about her," says Deadline's Nellie Andreeva. "In an element of art imitating life, the movie star in the book — the role Page is poised to play — is the latest James Bond. Brit Page himself has been a popular fan pick to play 007 since his breakout starring turn in the first season of Netflix/Shondaland’s Bridgerton." Andreeva adds: "If Funny You Should Ask goes to series, it would mark Page’s first TV role since playing Simon Basset on Bridgerton — and his return to the romance genre following the massive success of Regency drama’s first installment."
Ryan Murphy's Monster series to tackle Lizzie Borden
Murphy and Ian Brennan, who are currently working on Netflix’s Monster Season 3 revolving around serial killer Ed Gein, have begun prepping for a fourth season. "It will tell the story of Lizzie Borden who was tried and acquitted of the 1892 axe murders of her father and stepmother in Fall River, Massachusetts," says Deadline's Nellie Andreeva. "Casting for the lead role is currently underway, with the new season eying a fall start of production, sources said. Reps for Netflix declined comment. The Borden murders and trial received extensive nationwide publicity in the U.S. and have remained part of American popular culture in the decades since. Lizzie Borden has been depicted in numerous film, television and theater adaptations, most recently in Lifetime’s The Lizzie Borden Chronicles starring Christina Ricci, and the 2018 feature film Lizzie starring Chloë Sevigny and Kristen Stewart."
Slow Horses earns a very early Season 7 renewal
The Gary Oldman-led Apple TV+ spy comedy has been picked up for a seventh season, months ahead of Season 5's premiere later this year. “Slow Horses has won fans all over the world with its unique mix of self-deprecating British humor and high-octane action. I’m delighted viewers will have another season to enjoy Gary’s magnificent performance as Jackson Lamb alongside the Slow Horses slightly inept spycraft,” said Jay Hunt, Apple TV+ Europe’s creative director in a statement.
Marcia Gay Harden joins Netflix's Trinity

And Just Like That mystery solved: Why Nicole Ari Parker's character mourned the death of a dad in Season 1 and the death of a dad in Season 3
The dad Parker's Lisa Todd Wexley mourned in Season 1 was her stepdad, according to EW. The dad who died offscreen in last week's Season 3 episode was Lisa's biological dad, previously played by Billy Dee Williams. The confusion to social media mockery that AJLT isn't following its own show.
