Regé-Jean Page returning to Netflix to lead erotic thriller series Hancock Park
Page, who broke out on Netflix’s Bridgerton five years ago this month, is set to star in an erotic thriller series in development at Netflix named after the historic affluent neighborhood south of Hollywood that counts Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos and Bridgerton executive producer Shonda Rhimes among its current and former residents. “The series follows a dangerously charismatic outsider (Page), who invades the lives of a seemingly picture-perfect Los Angeles family when he rents their backyard guest house,” per Deadline. “But as he dives further into their world, the façade of this elite community begins to crumble, and he exposes the desire, deceit, and obsession that lurks around every corner of one of L.A.’s most-coveted neighborhoods.” Hancock Park was written by Matthew Barry with Page also serving as an executive producer. After starring in Bridgerton Season 1 in 2020, Page returned to Netflix in the hit movie The Gray Man in 2022.
Mad Men’s HBO Max 4K release showing crew members with a vomit hose is being fixed
The Emmy-winning AMC series has gone viral this morning after the 4K release failed to crop out two crew members holding a vomit hose behind John Slattery’s Roger Sterling on a Season 1 episode. (The original vomit hose scene edited out the crew members.) “In the 4K stream that released on HBO Max, a crew member was very visibly operating a barf hose behind Sterling, in full view of the camera. There was even a second man in frame supporting the puke-hose tech,” says The Hollywood Reporter’s Tony Maglio. “So, what happened? Lionsgate delivered the wrong 4K file to HBO Max, The Hollywood Reporter was told. The non-4K files were fine as delivered. At the time this story first published, Lionsgate was working on getting HBO Max the correct file(s), THR was told. HBO Max planned to swap out the wrong file(s) for the right one(s) upon receipt. They were then in the process of being swapped out around 10 a.m. PT on Tuesday. Lionsgate did not immediately comment on the fail; HBO Max referred THR back to Lionsgate.” The exposed vomit machine isn’t the only problem with the 4K release. Season 1’s sixth episode, which featured the vomiting, and the seventh episode are mislabeled. And the opening title card in the pilot explaining the term “Mad Men” has been omitted from the HBO Max version.

Mad Men was supposed to be “built to last”: What happened?: “There’s something ironic about Mad Men joining the ranks of classic shows like Gilmore Girls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and The Wire — beloved titles made for one format and then rereleased in another only for the carefully removed vomit machines, boom mics, and other warts to show,” says Vulture’s Eric Vilas-Boas. “For plenty of shows, this sort of thing is probably fine and maybe even a little funny. But Mad Men’s whole deal was that it was, in our own words, ‘built to last.’ In many ways, the details were the show, and interrupting its office-life fantasies with a subpar presentation is a colossal self-own on the part of the entities distributing it. Mad Men’s original HD presentation, the one we’ve all been watching for 15 years, still looks amazing, and its relevant details, like the books on Don’s shelf, were always more than legible in the frame. The 4K version’s errors and lack of care yank the viewer out of the story and yield nothing new in return.”
Nicholas Hoult and Daisy Edgar-Jones to star in Hulu British comedy series Mosquito from The Great creator Tony McNamara
Hoult is reteaming with The Great creator McNamara on the six-episode dark, wry comedy series. “Described as a sardonic look at a young couple’s relationship, Mosquito brings Hoult, Edgar-Jones and McNamara back to Hulu where they were part of two signature 2020 series,” says Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva and Rosy Cordero. “McNamara created and Hoult starred in the comedy-drama The Great, which ran for three seasons, while Edgar-Jones starred in the limited series Normal People. Both shows were hits with viewers and critics, landing Golden Globe acting nominations for Hoult and Edgar-Jones and Best TV Series – Musical or Comedy for McNamara. (Hoult and McNamara, along with female lead Elle Fanning, also earned Emmy nominations for their work on The Great.) Mosquito channels the dark, absurdist humor of The Great — as well as McNamara’s film work — while exploring the next stage in a young couple’s relationship which Normal People fans wished to see Marianne (Edgar-Jones) and Connell (Paul Mescal) embark on. The series centers on Kate (Edgar-Jones) and Ed (Hoult), a recently married couple whose secrets begin to reveal as daily life chips away at the personas they present… all started by an intrusive mosquito.”
Dave Coulier reveals he was diagnosed with a new type of cancer after beating non-Hodgkin lymphoma earlier this year
The former Full House star said on Today he was recently diagnosed with p16 squamous carcinoma, which is a type of head and neck cancer. He said the new cancer was discovered when he went for a checkup and PET scan. “Totally unrelated to the previous cancer that I had,” he said. “So in October of this year, I went in for a PET scan, just a routine check-up and something flared on the PET scan. It turned out that I have P16 squamous carcinoma at the base of my tongue. So I said to the doctors, I said, ‘Well, did this happen because of the lymphoma?’ And they said, ‘Totally unrelated.’” Coulier says doctors told him he has to undergo 35 rounds of radiation. “Prognosis is very good for P16 squamous carcinoma,” Coulier said. “So it has a 90+ curability rate. But the thing that has really saved my life, Craig, is that early detection saved my life, not just the first time but the second time as well. So I hope you’re getting your check-ups. I hope your colonoscopies and breast exams and prostate exams, they will save your life.”
