The Night Agent gets an early Season 3 renewal as Season 2 is pushed to 2025
"It’s a case of good news-bad news for The Night Agent fans," says Deadline's Nellie Andreeva. "In a vote of confidence to the Shawn Ryan action-thriller, the series starring Gabriel Basso has received a 10-episode Season 3 renewal ahead of its Season 2 debut. As for Season 2, viewers will have to wait a little longer. Originally slated for a 2024 release, Season 2 will now premiere in winter 2025. That is almost two years after Season 1 dropped on March 23, 2023, becoming an instant breakout en route to 98.2M views in its first 91 day and a spot on Netflix‘s Top 10 most popular English-language series of all time.” There won’t be that long a delay for Season 3 as “filming will begin very soon with a production unit in Istanbul at the end of 2024 followed by a New York shoot in 2025,” says Andreeva. “That mirrors the structure of Season 2, which kicked off with a shoot in Thailand before moving to the season’s primary location in New York City with additional filming in Washington D.C." Netflix also released the first look at Season 2.

Jeff Probst reacts to Survivor: Australia and other reality shows casting Survivor alums: "No show touches ours in terms of casting — none"

"We obviously take a tremendous amount of pride in the people we find to play Survivor," he says, adding of the show's Emmy snubs: "And regardless of what the Emmys might think, there is no better casting team in our genre than ours...So I've been really happy to see this proliferation of shows that don't have a casting department. They just rely on other shows. It's a smart way to produce, but it also shows how difficult it is to do. It's very hard to find great people — very hard. And that's why I take a lot of pride in being a part of a show that finds the very best people. I'll say it again, no show touches ours in terms of casting — none."
