Mira Sorvino to star in CBS military drama pilot The Code
The Oscar-winning actress will play the commanding officer of the Marine Corp' Judge Advocacy Division in a drama where the "military’s brightest minds take on our country’s toughest challenges – inside the courtroom and out – where each attorney is trained as a prosecutor, a defense lawyer, an investigator – and a Marine." Sorvino has received a lot of attention in recent months as one of Harvey Weinstein's prominent sexual harassment accusers. Earlier this month, she was an Oscar presenter with fellow Weinstein accusers Annabella Sciorra and Salma Hayek.

Anderson Cooper approves of his current SNL impersonator, is glad to see his CNN show cut in half
In fall 2015, Cooper expressed disapproval with what friend Andy Cohen called then-SNL cast member Jon Rudnitsky's "queened it up" impression of the CNN host. But Cooper approves of Alex Moffat's impression of him, which resurfaced two days ago on SNL's cold open. "I think he does it really well," Cooper said today. “I’d love to meet him and maybe give him one of my ties. Seth Meyers was the first one to do me on SNL. When he left, I was sad to see him go because nobody else would be doing me anymore. I’m glad somebody else has taken it up.” Cooper wouldn't discuss his Stormy Daniels interview-- slated to air Sunday on 60 Minutes -- but he did talk about Chris Cuomo taking over one of his CNN primetime hours: "I totally think it’s a great thing," he said. "I’m happy not to be doing two hours every night. Two hours in a row is a lot of live television. I think Chris is a great voice to have in prime time. It brings great energy to our prime time.”
