Netflix gets Ian Somerhalder to star in another vampire-themed drama series
One year after leaving The Vampire Diaries, Somerhalder is joining V-Wars, a vampire-themed drama based on Jonathan Maberry's novel series of the same name from comic book publisher IDW. Somerhalder will star and direct the drama, which was given a straight-to-series order in 2014. According to Deadline, "Somerhalder will star as Dr. Luther Swann, who enters a world of untold horror when a mysterious disease transforms his best friend, Michael Fayne, into a murderous predator who feeds on other humans."

The SNL announcer explained on Twitter Sunday why he called Mulaney "John Mulvaney" not once but twice: "I was trying to adjust a cue card/plug my show @ImprovKCMO and clearly I am no good at multi tasking," Hammond tweeted. "I really made a dumb mistake and I am sincerely sorry." Mulaney responded: "No apology necessary Darrell. I thought it was hilarious and am only bummed I didn’t think to ask you to do it on purpose." Hammond also posted a clip of himself getting Mulaney's name right during dress rehearsal.
