Could RuPaul's daytime talk show pilot signal the end of RuPaul's Drag Race?
Variety's report that RuPaul Charles will host a daytime talk show pilot could mean he'll have a lot of TV work on his plate. The host of RuPaul's Drag Race is also working on a Hulu series based on his life while also starring on the Netflix comedy AJ and the Queen. He also hosts Logo's Gay for Play game show. "The filming demands of a daytime talk show do seem pretty grueling, especially if it’s producing five new episodes a week," says Harron Walker. "Would this as yet untitled program, should it get picked up, spell the end of RuPaul’s run hosting Drag Race? The show can exist without its titular star, if Drag Race Thailand is anything to go by."

RuPaul to star in Netflix buddy comedy series AJ and the Queen
Former Sex and the City showrunner Michael Patrick King will helm and co-write the comedy with RuPaul Charles. According to Deadline, AJ and the Queen will have RuPaul playing "Ruby Red, a bigger-than-life but down-on-her-luck drag queen who travels across America from club to club in a rundown 1990’s R/V with her unlikely sidekick AJ, a recently orphaned, tough-talking, scrappy 11-year-old stowaway. As these two misfits, one tall, one small, travel from city to city, Ruby’s message of love and acceptance winds up touching people and changing their lives for the better. Oh, and RuPaul performs a killer musical number."
