Amy Poehler responds to the NRA using a GIF of Parks and Recreation's Leslie Knope
Poehler made her first public comments over the GIF today after telling the NRA to "f*ck off," via Parks and Rec co-creator Michael Schur, when the gun-rights organization tweeted a GIF of Poehler's likeness in February. "That’s the thing about the internet, you don’t have control over who appropriates what, and why and how, but I think most times the character of Leslie is used for the power of good and that’s all we want her to be," Poehler said at the TV press tour. As for a Parks and Rec reunion, Poehler said: “I’m tech avail," adding: “God, I have no idea. Everybody has my number…we all have a text chain and talk to each other almost everyday. So I think everybody would be excited to do some version of it — hopefully on ice.”

Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman make NBC's Making It the perfect balm for troubled times
Source: The Atlantic
"When the historians of the future look back upon this particular era in history, NBC’s Making It is one way they’ll ascertain how very wrong things went in 2018," says Sophie Gilbert. "To be clear, the crafting competition hosted by Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman is a total joy, a cashmere-swaddled hug of a show that exudes geniality and zany warmth. If it had a scent, that scent would be fall leaves, cinnamon, and clean linen. Making It’s spirit animal is a golden retriever. It’s the kind of series that’s so irrepressibly comforting, so extremely absorbing, that it could only be summoned by a culture that’s sorely in need of relief."
- Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman are so fantastic that they take the onus of being entertaining off of the contestants
- Making It positively brims with the goodheartedness of Poehler and Offerman's previous NBC collaboration, Parks And Recreation
- Making It is a charming reminder that we're in the midst of a "cutesiness epidemic"
- It is basically the Queer Eye of crafting
- Making It is so close in sensibility to The Great British Baking Show that the coveted title on each show is nearly the same -- master maker vs. master baker
