Connie Chung was impressed with how her former news organizations handled the Matt Lauer and Charlie Rose scandals
The veteran of NBC News, ABC News, CBS News and CNN told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that she also experienced sexual harassment in her career. "Oh yeah, sure, every day. I mean, a lot, especially when I started out,” she said. As for Lauer and Rose, Chung said: ”I’m very proud of CBS and NBC for just taking quick action. Some people might be victims of precipitous action but these two, the reports about them seemed excessive." Of the #MeToo movement, she added: "I was thrilled for this moment, for women!"

Netflix’s Queer Eye seems like an awkward fit in these "woke" times
Looking back at the original Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, the five stars had — with the exception of Carson Kressley — personalities that “were all pretty muted and down-to-earth,” says Kevin Fallon. “I had prepared myself for a cacophony of men in a**less chaps snapping their fingers and shouting ‘fierce’ every three seconds; in reality, they were certainly quippy, but also just normal, competent guys.” In the Netflix Queer Eye, “the men in the reboot are appealingly well-intentioned, but hardly as calibrated,” he says. The problem, he adds, is that the new Fab Five “subscribe to the modern reality-TV idea that LOUDER! IS! BETTER! At some point, this grating big-ness became the default for anyone looking to make an impression on reality TV, but it generally has the effect of seeming artificial and hollow. It’s a shame, because the encounters the hosts have with the men whose lifestyles they’re meant to rehab are, once the hysteria settles, quite genuine. Beautiful, even.”
- This is a kinder, gentler Queer Eye where the cattiness has been toned down
- The Atlanta-set reboot seems recalibrated “slightly but emphatically… for the Trump era”
- Watch the original Queer Eye cast meet their successors
- The original Queer Eye stars reflect on the impact they made in 2003
- Thanks to commercial-free Netflix, the new Queer Eye has time to delve deeper with each guy

Sarah Jessica Parker was "just heartbroken" when Kim Cattrall said she and the Sex and the City cast have “never been friends”
“I found it really upsetting,” Parker said in an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “That’s not the way I recall our experience. So, it’s sad, but…I always think that what ties us together is this singular experience. It was a professional experience, but it became personal because it was years and years of our lives. I’m hoping that that sort of eclipses anything that’s been recently spoken. That many years spent doing something so special that people had a connection with is such a privilege.”
