Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon are bringing Cord & Tish back to the Rose Parade
"Legendary broadcasters" Cord Hosenbeck and Tish Cattigan, who made their debut at the Rose Parade on New Year's Day on Amazon, will return as hosts on New Year's Day 2019 on Funny or Die's website and social media platforms. This will be the third special hosted by Cord & Tish -- they also hosted HBO's coverage of the Royal Wedding in May. “Once again, Tish and I are delighted to be participating in the grand tradition of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Rose Parade. We are excited for the floats, marching bands, but not the horses because I am scared of them,” said Cord. “I’m looking forward to another gorgeous morning in Pasadena full of pageantry, camaraderie and laughter!” added Tish. “And the horses really are a problem for Cord.”

Will Ferrell came up with the Cord & Tish Rose Parade idea, and it took nearly two years to make it happen
Funny Or Die first approached the Tournament of Roses with Ferrell’s idea in early 2016, but it took more than a year and a half to get a deal done because the company was the first new broadcaster in “like 15 years,” says Funny Or Die’s Chris Bruss, who was executive producer of the broadcast, which found a partner in Amazon. Will Cord & Tish return for 2019? “It’s probably too soon to say for sure,” he says. “Obviously we were with the Amazon folks all day on the 1st. They seemed to be thrilled with everything. We’ve had a chance to have a couple good conversations with them since then, as well, and it seems like everybody over at Amazon is super thrilled with just, you know, just creatively how the whole thing came together.”
