It looks like David Letterman is purposefully keeping his Netflix talk show Trump-free
“After watching the second episode, featuring George Clooney, it appears that Letterman might the one who doesn’t want to talk about Trump,” says Matt Wilstein, noting that both have been outspoken about critics of President Trump. The lack of Trump discussion was pointed out in the premiere episode, featuring President Obama. But it was assumed that Letterman and the former president were keeping to the tradition of presidents declining to speak ill of their immediate successor.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! had its “drunk and disorderly” debut 15 years ago today
A inebriated audience — including one woman who vomited — greeted Jimmy Kimmel for the launch of his then-live talk show on January 26, 2003 following the Super Bowl. George Clooney was Kimmel's first guest and Snoop Dogg was guest co-host for the week. They both drank liquor on air, along with the audience had access to free drinks. Snoop also raised his middle finger to the camera, stressing out the censors. “The producers’ decision to distribute beer and wine to the studio audience before the show hit the air around 12:30 a.m. Sunday night, did not go over well either,” The New York Post reported at the time. “The network had a meltdown,” then-executive producer Daniel Kellison told the Post. The audience that night included then-Disney CEO Michael Eisner and then-ABC boss Lloyd Braun.

Is Matt Damon milking his “feud” with Jimmy Kimmel to distract from his connection to Harvey Weinstein?
Damon may be trying to alter the discussion about his knowledge of the Weinstein sexual harassment claims with his recent Kimmel appearances, as Karen Han points out. Since the Weinstein scandal broke less than three weeks ago, Damon has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! three times. On Oct. 10, hours after breaking his silence on the Weinstein allegations, Damon “ruined” Kimmel’s interview with Chris Hemsworth. On Oct. 21, Damon promoted a charity auction to win an “uncomfortable meal” with him and Kimmel to help Jon Stewart’s Night of Too Many Stars autism charity. And on Monday night, hours after admitting in a GMA interview he knew about Gwyneth Paltrow’s Weinstein harassment, Damon surfaced again on Kimmel's show in a bit staged with George Clooney. To be fair, Damon has been out promoting the Clooney-directed movie Suburbicon, which could also explain all of his Kimmel appearances.

George Clooney denies blacklisting ER actress who alleges on-set sexual harassment and racism
Vanessa Marquez, who played a nurse on the hit NBC medical drama’s first three seasons, released a series of tweets alleging that she filed a sexual harassment complaint and was subjected to “Mexican slurs” on set. She says that executive producer John Wells never did anything about her official complaint, and that Clooney was complicit in having her blacklisted in Hollywood. While Wells and Warner Bros. has yet to respond, Clooney released a statement saying, in part: “I had no idea Vanessa was blacklisted. I take her at her word. I was not a writer or a producer or a director on that show. I had nothing to do with casting. I was an actor and only an actor.”
