Scott Patterson on the Gilmore Girls revival’s surrogacy storyline: “I gotta be honest with you, I didn’t like it”
“I understand why it was there. It was such an awkward situation for me as a character,” Patterson says of what he considers the “least satisfying part” of Netflix's Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. “In my mind it’s just a foregone conclusion that we are going to have a child but not like that,” he adds. “Those were tough days for me on set. I didn’t settle into that part of the story very well. I know that guy very well and I know how he feels. Just the fact that he hung around for so long and the way he feels the way he does about her. I mean, of course he wants to have a child with her.”

Lauren Graham: I don’t recall pitching ideas to get on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Tuesday’s Hollywood Reporter story that said Graham was “pitching ideas,” and quoted Amy Sherman-Palladino as saying “Lauren wants to be something very specific” and “she has it all figured out.” On Wednesday night, the former Gilmore Girls star responded to the article, tweeting: “Love this idea! Love @MaiselTV. But I don’t remember pitching Amy anything? So hopefully she’ll ignore whatever I said, and just write something cool (as she always does)! xL”

Lauren Graham is pitching ideas to reunite with Amy Sherman-Palladino on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Graham and the Gilmore Girls creator are trying to figure out how to get her on Sherman-Palladino's new, award-winning Amazon series. “I gotta get my girl Lauren on the show. I want to have her on it,” says Sherman-Palladino. “Lauren wants to be something very specific,” Sherman-Palladino tells The Hollywood Reporter. “She has it all figured out.” Sherman-Palladino also reveals plans for Rachel Brosnahan’s Midge and Alex Borstein’s Susie to take their act to the Catskills, aka, the Borscht Belt.

Larry David had an “effortless connection” with Lauren Graham on Curb Your Enthusiasm
“The very first scene of her story was the first time she was on set, and she had to say the filthiest things on the planet,” says executive producer Jeff Schaffer. “She was laughing and saying, ‘Oh, my dad was going to be so happy that I was on Curb.’ Larry knew her a little bit socially and just got the great vibe that Lauren gives off.” He also says it was a “lucky coincidence” that David dated an NBC censor after his real-life alter ego made the lives of NBC censors miserable on SNL.
