How CBS' Kevin Can Wait and Man with a Plan explain the second lives of Last Man Standing and Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Kevin Can Wait had slightly better ratings than Man with a Plan, so why did CBS cancel Kevin and renew Man? Vox's Todd VanDerWerff explains that CBS had a financial incentive to keep airing the Matt LeBlanc comedy, because it's owned by CBS Television Studios, whereas Kevin Can Wait is owned by Sony TV Studios.
