NRA depicts Thomas & Friends with KKK hoods to slam diversity
NRATV used the iconic kids' character Thomas the Tank Engine to mock the show's recent partnering with the United Nations to increase diversity on the program. Mattel later denounced the use of its show in association with hate images.

Apple CEO Tim Cook defends NRA TV's availablility on Apple TV
“I don’t even think they represent their members well, right, from the people that I know from my heritage in the South and so forth,” the Alabama-born Cook said of the NRA during an MSNBC forum. “But their point of view, along with the alternate point of view, I think it’s actually important for the public to hear that, and I wish it could be done in a not vitriolic tone and the – all of the accusation and personal attack that is on there. I don’t subscribe to any of that at all.”

Millie Bobby Brown and John Cena salute March for Our Lives at Kids' Choice Awards
Stranger Things star Brown honored Saturday's march against gun violence by wearing a jean jacket displaying the names of the Parkland victims. “The March for Our Lives demonstrations that took place all over the world today have inspired me and it impacted us all in one way or another," she said while accepting the award for Favorite TV Actress. "I’m fortunate to be here tonight to receive an award as an actor. I’m so very grateful and I appreciate the love and support of my fans and the opportunity that our show, Stranger Things, has created for me. More than anything, I get to be up here and I’m privileged to have a voice that can be heard, one that I can hopefully use to make a positive difference, and help influence change." In his opening monologue, John Cena also expressed support for March for Our Lives. “Kids everywhere have already made it an amazing day,” Cena said in his opening monologue. “So I just want to take a moment to celebrate what kids across the nation accomplished today. From Washington DC, Florida, even here in Los Angeles, all over the country, all over the world, kids made their voice heard with the incredible March for our Lives. And it all happened because you want to make the world a better place.

Amazon children's show creator: I was told to tone down my politics on Twitter
Danger & Eggs creator Shadi Petosky brought up Amazon's warning in recently trying to get the company to drop the National Rifle Association's NRATV from its streaming service. "They said that I needed to tone it down, that I needed to watch it," she said. "It wasn't becoming of someone running one of their shows." Amazon Studios declined comment.

Amazon under fire for allowing NRATV on its streaming platform
Former Law & Order: SVU showrunner Warren Leight was among those on Twitter voicing anger via the hashtag #StopNRAmazon at Amazon for allowing the National Rifle Association's online TV service. "Attention @Amazon and @Amazonhelp -- it's been over a week since the Parkland tragedy," he tweeted. "Why are you still offering NRAtv and its violent rhetoric?"
