Netflix is No. 1 in showing TV characters smoking, led by Stranger Things
Season 1 of Stranger Things featured 182 incidents of tobacco use, while The Walking Dead came in at No. 2 with 94 scenes of characters using tobacco, according to a study from the antismoking group Truth Initiative. In total, Netflix had 319 "tobacco incidents," more than any cable or broadcast network. Netflix ranked third through sixth, with Orange Is the New Black, House of Cards, Fuller House and Making a Murderer each showing numerous scenes of tobacco use. The Truth Initiative also found 20 instances of tobacco use on Modern Family. Fuller House was the only show on the list that's rated TV-Y7, for kids as young as age 7.

The Orange Is the New Black star told TMZ on Wednesday she was ticked off that her stylist decked her out in a dress costing only $200. "I want to be in a superstar gown... The designer got a lot of press; she should pay me a lot of money,” she said. The actress later apologized on Instagram: "I first want to say I'm sorry for the comments I made while being bombarded by paparazzi about my stylist and my dress.”

The Orange Is the New Black creator interviewed the Mad Men creator hours after her sister-in-law, former Mad Men consulting producer Marti Noxon, called him an “emotional terrorist” and backed Kater Gordon’s sexual harassment allegation against him. Weiner once again denied Gordon’s accusation, but added: “I will say this, I have hired dozens of women over the years and dozens of people, and I am a demanding boss. Especially in the early years, it was very hard to do it. I had a lot of stress — and you know this — it’s very lonely…I got better at it for sure.”

A Netflix pop-up is selling strains of weed based on 10 of its shows
From today through Sunday, a West Hollywood pop-up store will help promote the new pot dispensary sitcom Disjointed by selling strains of cannabis based on 10 Netflix shows, including "Banana Stand Cush" (Arrested Development), "Camp Firewood" (Wet Hot American Summer) and "Peyotea 73" (Grace and Frankie). Three of the strains of weed are named after the Kathy Bates sitcom. In a press release, Netflix insists it’s not making a profit from the weed.
