Peter Dinklage on Game of Thrones' Tyrion: "Obviously, he has feelings for Daenerys"
Source: Entertainment Weekly
Dinklage tells EW his character's feelings for Daenerys are "complicated." "A lot of the time with Tyrion, it’s professional and personal," he says. "Obviously, he has feelings for Daenerys. He loves her — or thinks he does. She’s awe-inspiring. He’s questioning that because he doesn’t have a good track record for falling in love. There’s jealousy wrapped up in there. And he loves Jon Snow, too. They’re the two people he has the most in common with, in a way — they’re both outsiders in their own families who have refused to follow the path their family has taken, and hopefully for the better. He’s wondering how smart of a move (Jon and Dany getting romantically involved is), because passion and politics don’t mix well. He knows the two of them getting together could be very dangerous.” ALSO: Maisie Williams responds to claims Game of Thrones is misogynistic.

Peter Dinklage disputes My Dinner with Hervé "whitewashing" controversy: "Hervé wasn’t Filipino"
Source: Entertainment Weekly
"He was French, and of German and English descent," says the Game of Thrones star, who received some backlash last year over his casting to play the Fantasy Island star in the HBO movie My Dinner with Hervé from those saying that he shouldn't play a person who is half-Asian. Dinklage says Wikipedia falsely stated that Villechaize was half-Filipino and half-white. "There’s this term 'whitewashing,'" Dinklage tells Entertainment Weekly. "I completely understand that. But Hervé wasn’t Filipino. Dwarfism manifests physically in many different ways. I have a very different type of dwarfism than Hervé had. I’ve met his brother and other members of his family. He was French, and of German and English descent. So it’s strange these people are saying he’s Filipino. They kind of don’t have any information. I don’t want to step on anybody’s toes or sense of justice because I feel the exact same way when there’s some weird racial profile. But these people think they’re doing the right thing politically and morally and it’s actually getting flipped because what they’re doing is judging and assuming what he is ethnically based on his looks alone. He has a very unique face and people have to be very careful about this stuff. This (movie) isn’t Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Personally, I would never do that, and I haven’t done that, because he wasn’t. People are jumping to conclusions based on a man’s appearance alone and that saddens me."

Peter Dinklage: Game of Thrones fans are “stretching the limit” by drawing Tyrion theories from my Doritos Super Bowl ad
“I love every single theory the fans of our show have, because they’re so much fun,” Dinklage tells The Huffington Post of the theories drawn from his Super Bowl ad. “They get to show the dedication and love they have for the show, but you have to understand that it is a Doritos commercial… It’s not Game of Thrones. So (fans) are sort of stretching the limit with that theory when you’re branching out to Frito-Lay commercials. But I say that with all love and respect. Please, I love them. I love the fan theories that they have until the show is finally over.”

Kit Harington: It’s ridiculous that Game of Thrones doesn’t allow us to wear hats in freezing weather
Source: The New York Times
“We’ve had endless conversations about it,” Harington tells the New York Times. “It’s been a big, big question in Thrones, about when they’re up North, whether they wear headgear or not. It seems ridiculous in cold climates not to have your head protected. But it’s a decision they made a long time ago, the decision that we need to see faces more than heads being warm. It’s very difficult when you’re filming people in that environment, to differentiate between people’s faces. I think they decided that was the most important thing. But trust me, no one wants a hat more than me. [Laughs]” PLUS: Peter Dinklage says stop buying Direwolf Huskies, and IKEA shows to how to make Jon Snow’s shag carpet cape.
