Snoop Dogg honored with a Hollywood Walk of Fame star
Jimmy Kimmel and Dr. Dre were on hand for today's ceremony in front of the Jimmy Kimmel Live!'s building honoring the iconic rapper and game show host. "I'm Snoop's second coolest white friend after Martha Stewart" said Kimmel. He also noted that Snoop was his guest co-host for his launch and first week on air in January 2003.

HBO picks up LeBron James' barbershop-set talk show The Shop, featuring guests Jon Stewart and Snoop Dogg

The NBA basketball legend and co-host Maverick Carter are bringing their digital series The Shop to HBO. The first episode was taped last week, featuring interviews with Snoop Dogg, Draymond Green, Candace Parker, Odell Beckham Jr. and Jon Stewart. It premieres on Aug. 28.

Snoop Dogg recalls Tupac Shakur arriving at SNL with Madonna and a "big bag" of weed

The rapper recalled to Howard Stern this morning his first performance on Saturday Night Live in 1994. Coincidentally, Shakur was in New York at the same time, and Snoop needed some weed. "He was like, 'Don't worry about a motherf*ckin' thing, I'm comin' to Saturday Night Live, I'll be there in a minute,'" Snoop recalled. Shakur arrived soon after with a "big bag" of weed and Madonna. ALSO: Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart's friendship started at Comedy Central's Justin Bieber roast.

Wink Martindale hopes to get together with Snoop Dogg
The 84-year-old legendary game show host took notice of The Joker's Wild host Snoop Dogg saying that he was one of the rapper's favorite hosts game show growing up, during a recent Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance. To prepare to host a game show, Snoop Dogg said he sought advice from Bob Barker, Michael Strahan and Steve Harvey.

The rapper-turned-game show host says he's trying to "assess it all and see if it makes sense," adding: “There are people reaching out to me that like what they see and like what I’m doing. We’re in conversations right now with some big networks that want to see Snoop Dogg on late-night TV.”

Jimmy Kimmel Live! had its “drunk and disorderly” debut 15 years ago today
A inebriated audience — including one woman who vomited — greeted Jimmy Kimmel for the launch of his then-live talk show on January 26, 2003 following the Super Bowl. George Clooney was Kimmel's first guest and Snoop Dogg was guest co-host for the week. They both drank liquor on air, along with the audience had access to free drinks. Snoop also raised his middle finger to the camera, stressing out the censors. “The producers’ decision to distribute beer and wine to the studio audience before the show hit the air around 12:30 a.m. Sunday night, did not go over well either,” The New York Post reported at the time. “The network had a meltdown,” then-executive producer Daniel Kellison told the Post. The audience that night included then-Disney CEO Michael Eisner and then-ABC boss Lloyd Braun.

Snoop Dogg sticks up for Jay-Z after George Zimmerman threatens to “beat” him over his Trayvon Martin miniseries
Paramount Network’s upcoming Jay-Z-produced Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story has ticked off Zimmerman, who was acquitted of killing the teenage Martin. Zimmerman threatened to “beat Jay-Z” over the miniseries, prompting Snoop Dogg to write on Instagram: “If one hair on jays hair is touched that’s when the revolution will b televised.”
