ESPN tried to convince Jemele Hill to stay

Before the controversial former SportsCenter host and ESPN agreed to a divorce and a buyout of the remaining three years on her contract, ESPN tried to talk her into becoming a regular on Highly Questionable and a host on the since-canceled SportsNation, according to the New York Post. Hill's last day at ESPN, which was originally reported to be last Friday, will instead be on Sept. 15.

ESPN is moving High Noon out of its noon timeslot to replace the canceled SportsNation

ESPN is shaking up its daytime lineup by canceling SportsNation. The Bomani Jones-Pablo Torre daily sports discussion show High Noon, also known as "High Noon (9am Pacific)," is moving to 4 p.m. (1 p.m. Pacific), taking over SportsNation's timeslot. Despite its new timeslot, High Noon will retain its name and be cut down from an hour to 30 minutes.
