Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt to end after Season 4, with plans for a movie finale
Netflix today released a Mary Tyler Moore-themed teaser for the Ellie Kemper comedy's fourth season, which is set to be its last. According to Deadline, co-creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock are planning to write a movie to bring Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt to an end, with Netflix and producer Universal Television in negotiation on wrapping up the series. Season 4 is currently filming and will be released in two parts, consisting of six episodes available on May 30 and seven to be released at a later date.

“I don’t think people are expecting that from a black lesbian from the south side of Chicago. But, I read her autobiography more times than I can count," Waithe tells The Hollywood Reporter. “Because I was obsessed with The Mary Tyler Moore Show. I was, like, who is this woman? Who is this person that everybody is wanting to be, that everybody was so happy when she came onscreen?"

Emmy winner Nanette Fabray dies at 97: Original One Day at a Time alum played mom to famous sitcom characters
Fabray played Mary Richards' mom on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Ann Romano's mom on the original One Day at a Time, appearing on 42 episodes. Fabray also won three Emmys working with Sid Caesar on NBC's Caesar’s Hour in the 1950s.
