Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune renewed through 2023
The renewal of the syndicated game show juggernauts comes one week after Alex Trebek, Pat Sajak and Vanna White extended their contracts through 2022. Variety reports the renewal came after ABC-owned TV stations were forced to shell out more money after Fox Television Stations group mounted a huge rival offer.

Back in July, the Jeopardy! host told Harvey Levin that there was a “50/50 (chance) and a little less” that he'll return to his game show after his contract is up in 2020. Instead, the 78-year-old Trebek has joined Sajak and White in reneweing their respective Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune deals through 2022. ALSO: Trebek dresses as KISS singer Gene Simmons for Halloween.

Wheel of Fortune is giving away a $350,000 house

For the first time, the long-running game show give away a home as a grand prize. As part of the show's "Home Sweet Home Giveaway," one viewer will win a house valued at $350,000 in Latitude Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffett's new retirement community in Daytona Beach, Fla. The winner will be selected at random at the end of "Home Sweet Home" week, which will run from Oct. 29 to Nov. 2. “After 35 seasons, it’s not an easy feat to do something for the first time, but thanks to Latitude Margaritaville, we’re doing just that by giving away a house,” said Wheel of Fortune executive producer Harry Friedman. “Our viewers welcome us into their homes each night, so we’re returning the favor by welcoming one of them into a new home of their own.”

Dave Grohl guest-hosts Jimmy Kimmel Live! dressed as bearded David Letterman
Grohl, whose Foo Fighters closed out Letterman’s 32-year late-night run in May 2015, got so annoyed with having to wear a long, flowing beard that he encouraged Letterman to shave it off. The Halloween-themed episode featured guest Kristen Bell dressed as Magnum P.I., and Grohl got her to sing a Frozen-Metallica mashup with him. Wheel of Fortune's Vanna White also made a cameo.

Pat Sajak and Vanna White, celebrating their 35th season together, plan to exit Wheel of Fortune simultaneously — but not anytime soon
There are no plans for Sajak and White to retire as they are signed through 2020. But the pair has been working together since 1982, and they consider themselves a “package deal" when they do decide to call it quits.
