Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune renewed through 2023
The renewal of the syndicated game show juggernauts comes one week after Alex Trebek, Pat Sajak and Vanna White extended their contracts through 2022. Variety reports the renewal came after ABC-owned TV stations were forced to shell out more money after Fox Television Stations group mounted a huge rival offer.

Hulu locks down more Fox animated comedies, including Family Guy and Bob's Burgers
The streaming service, which today added all 13 seasons of King of the Hill to its lineup, has locked down all post-broadcast streaming rights to Family Guy and Bob's Burgers and American Dad!, as well as past series Futurama and The Cleveland Show.

CBS puts 18 old Murphy Brown episodes on CBS All Access in advance of the revival's premiere
The original Murphy Brown has been previously unavailable on streaming services because rerun rights are too costly, in part due to the show's expensive taste in music. Murphy Brown reruns are, however, still available on Antenna TV.

The Jerry Springer Show's future is in limbo
Jerry Springer's long-running TV show, which premiered in 1991, has ceased production and will only air pre-taped episodes when it moves to The CW this fall. Unless The CW orders new episodes, the Springer show is done filming.

Steve Wilkos charged with DUI
Last month, the syndicated talk show host told TMZ his car struck several poles and a tree before turning over because he was distracted trying to find his glasses while driving. Wilkos now says he lied. On Wednesday, Wilkos was charged with DUI after medical records found that he was way over the legal limit with a BAC of .29%.

Harry Connick Jr.'s talk show Harry canceled after two seasons
Harry was renewed for a second season despite being a "soft ratings performer." The show will continue to tape episodes through September. Connick will next star in The Sting on Broadway, as well as guest-star on Will & Grace. “I’m incredibly proud of the show we produced over the past two seasons," Connick said in a statement. "We tried to create a safe place where families could gather to be entertained, uplifted and inspired and where we could celebrate everyday women who work hard to make our world a better place. I am truly grateful for the opportunity and will continue to find avenues to uplift our country.”
